Design Installation Systems was tasked with this life safety enhancement project. DIS completed the installation of new roof anchors tied into the existing building structure. New steel beams were fabricated and installed to provide structure for additional anchors at the penthouse level, where anchorage to existing structure was not practical. All new steel was fully galvanized and installed per engineers specifications, where roofing was disturbed, it was replaced and all anchorages were properly flashed into the roof. Following the installation all anchor points where tested and certified by an independent structural engineering firm.
